Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, direct care to residents — assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
• Support vital sign checks and routine observations, reporting any changes to the nursing team
• Document resident care accurately and promptly to ensure continuity and safety
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and lift equipment
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents and their families to promote dignity and comfort
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control best practices
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — Pennsylvania certification or eligibility required
• CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and basic clinical tasks
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and able to pass facility background and health screening

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Successful completion of an approved CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care procedures and infection control
• Ability to take and record vital signs and recognize changes in condition
• Comfort with documentation and basic computer/charting systems
• Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
• Compassionate interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity
