Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, eating)
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
• Support mobility and safe transfers while following proper body mechanics
• Document care and communicate clearly with nurses and interdisciplinary team
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families to improve comfort and outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — Pennsylvania preferred or eligible to obtain
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred (or willing to obtain)
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
• Comfortable with physical aspects of the role and lifting/transfer techniques
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming) and resident hygiene
• Ability to take and record vitals, recognize patient changes, and escalate concerns
• Familiarity with basic charting and documentation practices
• Good time management and ability to prioritize in a busy care setting
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of infection prevention and safe patient handling
