Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and respect
• Provide compassionate bedside care and emotional support to patients and families
• Take and record vital signs and report significant changes to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with mobility, transfers and safe use of assistive devices to prevent falls
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the facility charting system
• Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• Active authorization to work in Pennsylvania (state-specific requirements apply)
• BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus but caring attitude matters most
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and successful certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic patient care
• Familiarity with infection control and standard precautions
• Ability to take accurate vital signs and observe patient condition
• Good documentation and charting skills
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Basic mobility assistance and safe transfer techniques
