Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Take and record vital signs and report any changes in condition to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists and support staff to deliver person-centered care
• Promote a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control best practices
• Engage residents with dignity and respect — foster independence and a positive daily experience

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Pennsylvania) — required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus, but compassionate new CNAs are encouraged to apply
• Ability to pass background check and any facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• State CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and resident mobility
• Able to take and document vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of infection prevention and safe caregiving techniques
• Basic charting/EMR familiarity or willingness to learn
• Strong patient advocacy, observation and reporting skills
• Gentle, respectful bedside manner and excellent teamwork
