Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and other observations accurately and timely
• Assist nursing staff with transfers, positioning, and mobility while following safety protocols
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents and families to ensure comfort and understanding
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control and facility procedures
• Document resident care in the chart/EMR and report changes promptly to the nursing team
• Support the team during admissions, discharges, and daily routines with professionalism and energy

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of Pennsylvania (required)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
• Comfortable with patient transfers, lifting, and physical aspects of direct care
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, resident-focused approach

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA training program is required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in personal care, bathing, dressing, and toileting assistance
• Proficient at taking and recording vital signs and observing clinical changes
• Knowledgeable about infection control, hand hygiene, and standard precautions
• Able to follow care plans, document accurately, and communicate observations to nurses
• Team player with good time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
