Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room for neuro, spine, ortho, vascular, thoracic, general, trauma, gyn, urology, ENT, robotics, and plastics cases
• Scrub and assist during surgeries, including robotics cases using DaVinci technology
• Respond promptly to trauma and urgent calls, meeting established response times
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Epic
• Collaborate with the charge nurse, manager, and OR techs to ensure smooth case flow across 11 suites handling 30-40 cases per day
• Float to Walters Surgery as needed and support flexible unit needs
• Maintain sterile technique, patient safety, and infection control standards

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Washington or eligible to obtain and submit license
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
• Trauma experience required
• Robotics (DaVinci) experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• BLS certification required
• COVID-19 vaccination required
• Scrubbing experience as an RN
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and meet response time expectations

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) accepted; BSN not required
• Completion of unit-specific OR orientation (provided)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in Epic electronic medical record documentation
• Operative nursing and sterile scrubbing techniques
• Robotic surgery workflow and instrumentation (DaVinci)
• Trauma response protocols and rapid assessment
• Strong communication and teamwork in fast-paced OR settings
• Case coordination and time management across multiple suites
• Ability to use Qgenda for scheduling and call management
