Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents at Belen Meadows Center
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per policy
• Monitor, assess, and report changes in patient condition to the care team
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
• Support admissions, discharges, and transfers with clear documentation
• Educate patients and families about care plans and safe home practices
• Maintain compliance with facility standards, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Current LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license for New Mexico (required)
• CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Comfortable working 12+ hour night shifts including weekends
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
• Local candidates only — must be within commuting distance of Belen, NM
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN/LVN diploma)
• High school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and basic wound care
• Clinical assessment and vital sign monitoring
• Accurate charting and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Infection control and safety best practices
• Patient and family education with a compassionate approach
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work well under night-shift conditions
