Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on direct care to residents, promoting dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
• Document resident care clearly and promptly to maintain continuity and quality
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care
• Help create a warm, welcoming environment that supports residents’ emotional well-being

Qualifications

• Valid Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification — NH required; VT acceptable if applicable to region
• Completion of a state-approved LNA program or equivalent training
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Local candidates only, as this assignment is for nearby staff
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited/state-approved LNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in resident personal care, infection control, and safety protocols
• Comfortable performing routine clinical tasks such as dressing changes and toileting assistance
• Able to observe, identify, and report changes in resident condition
• Familiarity with documentation best practices and following care plans
• Good time management, organization, and teamwork skills
