Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to plan
- Monitor patient status, document care, and communicate changes to the care team
- Support patient activities of daily living and promote comfort and dignity
- Collaborate with RNs, providers, and interdisciplinary staff to deliver cohesive care
- Participate in handoffs and maintain accurate, timely charting and reports
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — able to practice in Vermont
- Minimum clinical experience as an LPN preferred (facility will review experience during hiring)
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Reliable personal transportation (local-only assignment requires own vehicle)
- Ability to pass facility-required screenings and meet RTOs listed in contract
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program or equivalent diploma
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in medication administration and basic wound care
- Strong patient assessment and observation skills
- Proficient with clinical documentation and electronic charting basics
- Good communication and teamwork — able to coordinate with RNs and providers
- Time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced night shift environment
