Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming with dignity and compassion
• Measure and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly
• Provide safe, attentive mobility assistance and fall-prevention support
• Create warm, person-centered interactions to boost residents’ comfort and morale
• Maintain clean, organized resident areas and follow infection control protocols
• Communicate effectively with team members and participate in shift handoffs
• Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner

Qualifications

• GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification required
• Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings (immunizations/TB test)
• Comfortable working evening shifts and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
• Compassionate, patient-centered attitude with strong communication skills
• Reliable transportation and punctuality for assigned shifts

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• GNA/CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Experience supporting geriatric residents with activities of daily living
• Knowledge of basic clinical observations (vitals, skin checks, mobility cues)
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting resident relationships
• Basic documentation skills and ability to follow care plans
• Awareness of infection control and safety best practices
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to take direction from licensed nursing staff
