Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialty clinical laboratory tests accurately and efficiently
• Process, label, and log specimens in accordance with facility and Trinity procedures
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, performing quality control and troubleshooting
• Document test results clearly and communicate critical values to clinical teams
• Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory procedures at all times
• Participate in Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and complete the Trinity Skills Checklist
• Support continuous quality improvement efforts and maintain compliance with license/certification verification requirements
• Collaborate with colleagues and clinical staff to ensure timely patient care

Qualifications

• Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) designation or equivalent clinical laboratory experience
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Successful license/certificate verification as requested by the facility
• Willingness to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Required health screenings and immunizations as outlined by the facility (2-step PPD or IGRA, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza, drug screen, fit test, color vision)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong specimen handling and processing techniques
• Familiarity with clinical lab instrumentation and quality control practices
• Accurate documentation and familiarity with laboratory information systems
• Attention to detail and ability to work under time-sensitive conditions
• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Knowledge of infection control and lab safety protocols
