Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate during cerebral and neurointerventional procedures, maintaining strict sterile technique
• Operate and optimize fluoroscopy and imaging systems (Siemens, Philips, Toshiba) and support PACS imaging workflows
• Assist physicians with access procedures including central venous access, port placements, PICC lines, and dialysis graft interventions
• Prepare and manage interventional suites for procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, TIPS, Y90, TACE, and thrombolysis/thrombectomy
• Document procedures and patient care accurately in Epic
• Provide reliable on-call coverage and respond to emergent cases as required
• Support patient safety and comfort through effective communication and teamwork during complex procedures

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience with strong cerebral scrubbing experience required
• ARRT (R) required (post 2011)
• Valid California state radiologic technologist license
• Fluoroscopy permit required
• BLS certification required
• Ability to work call schedule (minimum 12 call days per 6-week schedule including weekends)
• Pending licenses are not accepted; RTO restrictions must be included at time of submission
• Willingness to float to Providence Mission Laguna if requested

Education

• ARRT (R) certification (required)
• California State Radiologic Technologist license (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Fluoroscopy permit (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in cerebral intervention and neurovascular procedures
• Fluoroscopy operation and safety
• Venous access techniques: ports, PICC, central lines
• Familiarity with PACS and Epic charting
• Experience with Siemens imaging systems and portable C-arm workflows
• Comfort assisting with vascular, abdominal, cardiac cath, and genitourinary interventional procedures
• Ultrasound guidance experience (Sonosite, Juniper) and contrast use knowledge
• Strong sterile technique, team communication, and acute care adaptability
