Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, Day shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (5x8-hour); Rotational standby/call coverage weekdays starting at the end of your shift until 11:00 PM (example: 5:31 PM - 11:00 PM); Weekends and Holidays standby/call 7:00 AM - 11:00 PM; Rotating including weekends

Candidate Pay Rate: $80 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform and document nuclear medicine procedures, including SPECT and diagnostic studies, with accuracy and compassion
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and perform lymphoscintigraphy injections per protocol, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Start and maintain peripheral IVs as needed for contrast or tracer administration
- Operate imaging equipment including SPECT systems and Philips platforms, and manage images in PACS
- Use Epic for charting and maintain accurate patient records and procedure notes
- Perform EKGs and assist with stress testing and pharmacologic infusions when required
- Respond to standby/call duties promptly and provide dependable weekend and holiday coverage
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and support staff to deliver timely, high-quality patient care
Qualifications
- ARRT certification required
- BLS required
- NMTCB certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of nuclear medicine technologist experience required
- Demonstrated ability to perform lymphoscintigraphy including injection of tracer (required)
- Experience with SPECT, PACS, EKGs, and Epic charting
- Weekend and holiday availability is required; rotational call coverage expected
- Valid state Nuclear Medicine Technologist license (pending licenses are not accepted)
- Community hospital experience preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Nuclear Medicine procedures including SPECT and whole body imaging
- Lymphoscintigraphy and tracer injection technique
- Starting and maintaining IVs
- PACS image management and DICOM workflows
- Epic electronic charting
- EKG acquisition and basic ECG interpretation
- Myocardial imaging, stress testing (exercise and pharmacologic), HIDA, gastric emptying, V/Q lung scans
- Familiarity with Philips imaging equipment and standard QC procedures
- Patient safety, radiation safety, and infection control practices
