Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to older adults, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
• Help with safe transfers and mobility support to reduce falls and promote independence
• Document care activities and observations accurately and on time
• Collaborate with the care team to implement individualized care plans
• Support mealtime needs and ensure residents receive appropriate nutrition and hydration
• Create a warm, friendly environment that encourages social engagement and respect

Qualifications

• GNA certification (required) — you know your geriatric care basics
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
• Clear background check and ability to pass facility onboarding checks
• Previous experience in long-term care or geriatrics is a plus — new grads welcome to apply

Education

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• GNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong hands-on patient care skills and comfortable with ADLs
• Excellent communication and compassionate bedside manner
• Basic vital signs measurement and ability to observe changes in condition
• Good documentation practices and time management
• Team player who works well with nurses, therapists, and support staff
• Infection control and safety-minded approach to resident care
