Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care for residents at Andover Manor Rehab & Nursing
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to facility policies
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs, reporting changes promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update individualized care plans
• Document care activities clearly and timely in the facility electronic medical record
• Support mobility, rehabilitation goals, and daily living activities to enhance patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and post-discharge needs
• Participate in shift handoffs and communicate critical information to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts (or compact RN licensure where applicable)
• Current BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS/PALS if required by facility
• Valid immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
• Comfortable working 12-hour daytime shifts in a long-term care / rehab setting
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Professional, dependable, and patient-focused attitude

Education

• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of an accredited nursing program and successful NCLEX-RN

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and charting best practices
• Skilled in patient assessment and monitoring of clinical status
• Experience with wound care, IV therapy, and post-acute rehabilitation principles
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced nursing environment
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
