Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care for residents at Andover Manor Rehab & Nursing
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to facility policies
- Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs, reporting changes promptly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update individualized care plans
- Document care activities clearly and timely in the facility electronic medical record
- Support mobility, rehabilitation goals, and daily living activities to enhance patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and post-discharge needs
- Participate in shift handoffs and communicate critical information to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts (or compact RN licensure where applicable)
- Current BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS/PALS if required by facility
- Valid immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
- Comfortable working 12-hour daytime shifts in a long-term care / rehab setting
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Professional, dependable, and patient-focused attitude
Education
- RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Completion of an accredited nursing program and successful NCLEX-RN
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and charting best practices
- Skilled in patient assessment and monitoring of clinical status
- Experience with wound care, IV therapy, and post-acute rehabilitation principles
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced nursing environment
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
