Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve independence with activities of daily living
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and achieve measurable patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques, home programs, and community resources
• Document patient progress thoroughly and communicate updates during team meetings and handoffs
• Recommend and train on adaptive equipment and environmental modifications to maximize safety and function

Qualifications

• Current state occupational therapy license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Maine
• NBCOT certification preferred or in progress
• Clinical experience in inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient, or post-acute settings is a plus
• Strong clinical reasoning, documentation skills, and ability to work collaboratively
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• CPR/BLS certification preferred

Education

• Entry-level Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven knowledge of evaluation techniques, treatment planning, and ADL training
• Skilled in adaptive equipment selection, activity modification, and safety assessments
• Comfortable with clear, timely documentation and outcome-driven care
• Effective communicator with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Able to prioritize caseloads and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced rehab environment
