Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in a rehab and skilled nursing environment
- Assess residents' conditions, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that support recovery and quality of life
- Collaborate with therapists, physicians, and support staff to coordinate seamless care
- Educate residents and families about care plans, medications, and post-discharge instructions
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse license (Massachusetts) or compact license as applicable
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications (ACLS) a plus
- Previous experience in rehab, long-term care, or skilled nursing preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities with a resident-focused mindset
- Ability to pass facility onboarding, background check, and required immunizations
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of rehab and long-term care nursing practices and protocols
- Proficiency with clinical documentation and electronic medical records
- Strong medication administration and IV/PO skills
- Skilled in patient assessment, wound care basics, and restorative nursing
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Compassionate bedside manner and effective patient/family education techniques
