Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents of the skilled nursing/rehab facility during night hours
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document all care thoroughly
• Perform patient assessments, monitor changes in condition, and escalate concerns to the interdisciplinary team
• Support rehabilitation goals by assisting with ADLs, mobility programs, and restorative nursing activities
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies and overnight clinical needs
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and nursing staff to ensure coordinated, resident-centered care
• Educate residents and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up needs

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts (or Compact RN eligible)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Preferred: 1+ year of nursing experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care
• Demonstrated ability to assess, prioritize, and manage overnight patient care
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
• Able to pass standard background check and drug screening

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in medication administration and accurate clinical documentation
• Skilled in patient assessment, wound care basics, and restorative nursing support
• Comfortable working independently overnight and making critical decisions when needed
• Good clinical judgment, time management, and bedside manner
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting best practices
