Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ mobility, functional limitations and rehabilitation needs with clear, evidence-based assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans that set measurable goals and track progress
- Deliver hands-on therapy, exercise instruction, and therapeutic modalities to restore function
- Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with nursing, physicians and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on home programs, safety strategies and long-term management
- Participate in team meetings, discharge planning and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapy license in Maine or eligible to obtain state licensure prior to start
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or able to obtain quickly)
- Experience in outpatient, post-acute or contract settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and manual therapy skills
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach
- Ability to manage documentation and meet productivity expectations for a travel assignment
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master's in Physical Therapy considered
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in creating and implementing individualized rehab plans
- Proficient with common documentation systems and charting best practices
- Knowledge of therapeutic exercises, gait training and assistive device prescription
- Ability to perform manual therapy and therapeutic modalities safely
- Strong patient education and motivational skills
- Team-oriented mindset and effective interdisciplinary communication
