Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct nursing care to residents, focused on dignity and comfort
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Perform patient assessments and document changes in condition promptly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and follow care plans
- Support residents with activities of daily living and mobility assistance
- Communicate clearly with families and facility staff to ensure continuity of care
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe care environment
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — Massachusetts license preferred
- Active BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable administering medications and following physician orders
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- LPN diploma or certificate from an accredited program
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Competent in resident assessment, documentation, and care planning
- Familiarity with infection control and safety best practices
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced long-term care or rehab setting
- Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
