Shift Type: Day shift, 4x12-hour schedule, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, typically 4 shifts/week with every-other-weekend required
Hours per Week: 48
Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care on a medical-surgical/telemetry unit, monitoring cardiac rhythms and intervening as needed
- Assess patients continuously and prioritize care for a typical ratio of 1:5-6 to maintain high-quality outcomes
- Document accurately and efficiently in Epic to ensure continuity of care and clear communication across the care team
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams — physicians, respiratory therapy, and ancillary staff — to create timely care plans
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge needs to support recovery and reduce readmissions
- Float within like units as needed to meet facility demands while maintaining scope-of-practice standards
- Adhere to facility policies for infection control and patient safety during holidays, special events, and high-census periods
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) — current and active licensure as required by the facility
- Minimum 2 years of MS/Telemetry experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH
- Comfortable with telemetry monitoring and managing a 1:5-6 patient ratio
- First-time travel nurses are welcome
- Able to commit to travel/contract requirements, including the facility’s 50-mile local restriction policy
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong telemetry monitoring skills and rhythm recognition
- Proficiency with Epic electronic charting
- Acute care experience in short-term, high-acuity settings
- Excellent prioritization and time management on 12-hour shifts
- Solid communication and teamwork in a teaching hospital environment
- Ability to adapt and float between like units when needed
