Shift Type: Rotating 3x12-hour day shifts, 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM (three shifts per week); every-other-weekend required
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care to adult patients, maintaining safe patient ratios (1:5-6)
- Continuously monitor telemetry and respond to rhythm changes and patient alarms promptly
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide patient and family education to support recovery and safe discharge
- Float within scope between like units to meet facility needs and maintain continuity of care
- Participate in unit-based initiatives to improve patient outcomes and workflow
- Maintain required certifications and follow hospital policies for clinical best practices
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH certification required
- Experience with Epic charting is required
- Willingness to float to like units as needed and to work every-other-weekend
- First-time travel nurses accepted, so new travel RN applicants are welcome
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills
- Solid medical-surgical assessment and critical thinking
- Proficient Epic documentation and electronic charting skills
- Ability to manage 1:5-6 patient ratios safely and effectively
- Comfort working in a Level III trauma center and teaching hospital environment
- Team-oriented communication and the ability to adapt to changing patient needs
