Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating schedules with weekend coverage: options include 2 x 12-hour shifts (11:00 AM - 11:00 PM), 2 x 8-hour shifts (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM), or 5 x 8-hour shifts (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM). Every third weekend required; flexibility to float and cover other shifts and holidays as needed.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT scans across modalities including head/neck, chest, abdomen and pelvis to support accurate diagnoses
- Prepare and administer contrast media safely and monitor patients during and after contrast studies
- Start peripheral IVs and manage patient access for contrast when required
- Support special CT procedures such as biopsies, drainages, myelography and CT arthrography with attention to sterile technique and patient comfort
- Operate and troubleshoot Siemens CT scanners and PACS to ensure smooth imaging workflows
- Collaborate with radiologists, nursing, and ED teams in a Level III trauma and teaching facility to deliver timely patient care
- Document procedures and maintain accurate records in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
- Provide patient-centered care across age groups including adult, adolescent and occasionally pediatric patients
Qualifications
- ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT Advanced Certification preferred
- Valid Ohio State radiologic technologist license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of CT experience
- Experience with Siemens CT scanners required
- Teaching hospital experience required; community hospital experience preferred
- Comfortable with special procedures (biopsy, drainage, myelography) and working in ED/trauma settings
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required per facility guideline
- Willingness to work every third weekend and cover holidays or other shifts as needed
Education
- ARRT (R) certification (required)
- Ohio State radiologic technologist license (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- ARRT Advanced Certification (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency operating Siemens 128-slice CT scanners and PACS
- Strong knowledge of CT protocols: head/neck, chest, abdomen/pelvis, coronary CTA and CT arthrography
- Skilled in contrast media preparation and administration
- Ability to start peripheral IVs reliably
- Experience assisting with interventional CT procedures such as biopsies and drainages
- Comfort working in adult acute care, outpatient, and emergency department settings; pediatric acute care experience is a plus
- Familiarity with trauma imaging workflows and high-volume daily caseloads
