Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Monitor and record vital signs and observe changes in condition
- Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics
- Communicate clearly with nursing staff and families about resident needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans precisely
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (state-appropriate) — you must be certified to apply
- Up-to-date CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting is a plus
- Proof of required immunizations and successful background check
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completed state-approved CNA training program and active certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Able to take and document vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with charting and basic patient documentation
- Knowledge of infection control practices and safety procedures
- Compassionate bedside manner and ability to work in fast-paced settings
