Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the physical therapist in delivering high-quality patient care and rehabilitation
- Implement treatment plans under PT direction using therapeutic exercises and modalities
- Perform transfers, gait training, and functional mobility training safely and confidently
- Document patient progress clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Provide patient and caregiver education to support home programs and safe recovery
- Float to Langdon Place of Keene as needed to support continuity of care across sites
Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant certification or license (or eligible to obtain prior to start)
- BLS or CPR certification required
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced rehab environment with varied caseloads
- Ability to float between facility locations when required
- Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills
Education
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Completion of required clinical training and state credentialing
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in therapeutic exercise prescription and progression
- Proficient with gait training, transfers, and assistive device use
- Familiarity with common physical therapy modalities and precautions
- Comfortable with patient assessment, documentation, and outcome tracking
- Ability to educate patients and caregivers in plain, supportive language
- Team-oriented approach and adaptability when floating between units
