Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans to restore mobility and function
• Provide one-on-one therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise and manual techniques
• Track patient progress, update plans of care, and document outcomes in the medical record
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate safe, effective care
• Educate patients and families on home programs and strategies to prevent re-injury
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, professional standards and safety protocols
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment that prioritizes patient-centered outcomes

Qualifications

• Licensed or license-eligible Physical Therapist for practice in New Jersey
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; bachelor’s in a related field considered
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable with inpatient rehabilitation care and interdisciplinary teamwork
• Strong clinical reasoning, documentation skills, and effective patient communication
• Travel/contract experience a plus but not required—enthusiasm and adaptability matter most

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred or Bachelor’s degree in a related field; accredited PT education required for licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient evaluation, treatment planning and therapeutic exercise prescription
• Proficient documentation practices and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Knowledge of mobility aids, gait training and modalities commonly used in rehab
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate patients toward goals
• Time management and caseload prioritization in a fast-paced rehab setting
• Ability to work collaboratively with nursing and other therapy disciplines
