Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs, monitor condition changes, and report concerns promptly
• Support mobility, safe transfers, and fall prevention efforts to keep residents safe
• Document care accurately and communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary team
• Assist with meals, hygiene, and personal care while preserving dignity and independence
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (CNA) — North Carolina certification preferred or eligible
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a clinical team in long-term care or similar setting
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach with strong communication skills
• Willingness to complete facility background checks, immunizations, and any required screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven ability to assist with ADLs and basic patient care tasks
• Familiarity with taking vitals and documenting observations accurately
• Strong infection control, hygiene, and safety practices
• Good time management, teamwork, and the ability to follow care plans
• Basic charting and communication skills to coordinate with nurses and other staff
