Shift Type: Day shift, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (specific days to be confirmed with facility)

Candidate Pay Rate: $43 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled therapeutic interventions under the plan of care to help patients regain mobility and independence
- Assist with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers and use of assistive devices
- Monitor and document patient progress clearly and promptly in the medical record
- Collaborate with PTs, nurses and the rehab team to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
- Educate patients and families on home programs, safety and strategies to maintain functional gains
- Maintain equipment, ensure a safe treatment environment, and adhere to infection control practices
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in New Jersey or able to obtain state licensure promptly
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Comfortable working with adult and geriatric populations in a rehab setting
- Strong communication and documentation skills; team player attitude
- Prior experience in outpatient, skilled nursing, or contract settings is a plus
Education
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in therapeutic modalities, exercise progression and functional mobility training
- Proficient with patient assessment, treatment planning and measurement of outcomes
- Able to instruct and motivate patients and caregivers with clear, empathetic education
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and timely documentation
- Good time management, prioritization, and teamwork skills
