Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ functional abilities and develop individualized occupational therapy plans
• Deliver purposeful therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care
• Train patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and use of adaptive equipment
• Document progress, goals, and discharge plans clearly and timely in the medical record
• Educate families and staff to support safe transitions and maximize patient independence

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR) or eligible for licensure — ability to obtain state licensure as required
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced rehab setting and adapting to patient needs
• Strong clinical reasoning, documentation skills, and teamwork mindset
• Travel/contract experience is a plus but not required

Education

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (entry-level Master's or OTD preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, treatment planning, and ADL training
• Knowledge of therapeutic modalities, adaptive equipment, and splinting basics
• Proficiency in clinical documentation and outcome measurement
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and teams
• Ability to prioritize caseload and manage time effectively
