Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in the assigned unit
• Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs and document changes accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and interdisciplinary team members
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions and follow-up
• Respond to patient concerns and escalate issues to the appropriate clinician
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and adhere to facility policies and standards

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or appropriate compact license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred or as required by unit
• Prior acute care nursing experience preferred; new grads with clinical rotations considered
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
• Ability to pass facility credentialing and background checks

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and accurate charting
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families and team members
• Time management, organization and teamwork under pressure
