Shift Type: Sunday-Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day shift) with a 30-minute meal break
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patient mobility, strength, balance and functional needs to create individualized treatment plans
- Develop and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to restore function and reduce pain
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care plans
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe mobility techniques
- Document progress and outcomes in the facility’s charting system accurately and timely
- Advocate for patient needs and adjust treatment approaches based on clinical response
Qualifications
- Current or eligible for Maine Physical Therapist license (required before or upon start)
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree (preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required or obtained upon hire)
- Previous outpatient/inpatient rehab experience preferred; new grads with strong clinical skills considered
- Strong clinical assessment and manual therapy skills, with excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to adapt to high-quality, fast-paced contract environments
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient evaluation, goal setting and treatment planning
- Proficient with therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education and mobility training
- Experience with documentation and electronic health records
- Knowledge of safe patient handling and fall prevention strategies
- Excellent interpersonal skills for patient and family education
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary care team
