Roles & Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate radiographic and hemodynamic equipment before angiographic procedures to ensure excellent imaging
- Perform cine image processing and quality control checks so physicians have the best visuals for decision-making
- Prepare patients and sterile trays, assist with sterile technique, and support physicians during procedures
- Operate cardiac output computers, oxygen saturation monitors, pacemakers and other cath lab electronics
- Deliver thorough post-cath care and room cleanup to keep turnover efficient and patient-focused
- Collaborate with the cath lab and interventional radiology team to maintain a safe, timely, and organized procedural environment
Qualifications
- Cath Lab Tech experience — required
- Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification — required
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification — required
- Active American Heart Association ACLS certification — required
- Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years (facility requirement)
- Current skills checklist for Cath Lab specialty (within 1 year) — required
- Comfortable working with Epic electronic medical record
- Note: Facility will not consider local candidates within a 50-mile radius — please confirm your permanent address at submission
Education
- Active ARRT certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Radiographic equipment setup and generator technique selection for optimal imaging
- Angiographic procedures and cine image quality control
- Operation of hemodynamic equipment, cardiac output computers, and oxygen saturation devices
- Pacemaker operation and monitoring during procedures
- Patient preparation, sterile tray setup, post-procedure care, and room turnover
- Familiarity with Epic EMR for documentation and charting
