Shift Type: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (night shift; specific days not specified)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to older adults, helping with activities of daily living
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
- Support safe transfers and fall prevention strategies to keep residents secure
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in resident charts and electronic records
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Follow infection control procedures and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
- Participate in care planning and team huddles to contribute to excellent resident outcomes
Qualifications
- Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification or equivalent (state-specific credentials required)
- Active BLS/CPR certification preferred or able to obtain promptly
- Comfort working with older adults, including those with dementia or complex care needs
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
- Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings as required
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an approved GNA training program or equivalent certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic geriatric care principles
- Knowledge of infection control practices and resident safety standards
- Basic skills in taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Competence with charting and following care plans (EHR experience a plus)
- Compassionate bedside manner and ability to de-escalate distressed residents
- Team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn from clinical staff
