Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients holistically — physical, emotional, psychosocial and family needs to guide excellent care
• Organize and coordinate all aspects of complex neuro/neurosurgical and trauma critical care
• Evaluate patient progress by correlating clinical data with nursing judgment to meet care goals
• Collaborate and consult with multidisciplinary teams to implement individualized patient plans
• Use Epic EMR to document care, communicate with team members, and maintain accurate records
• Apply advanced critical care nursing skills to manage rapidly changing, high-acuity patients

Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (must be active)
• Minimum 2+ years of ICU experience — required
• Neuro Trauma critical care experience — required
• BLS (AHA) — required
• ACLS (AHA) — required
• Recent traveler experience highly preferred
• Ability to provide current Work History, Skills Checklist (within 1 year), and 2 supervisory references completed within the last 2 years
• Candidates should provide permanent address (facility considers local candidates within a 50-mile radius for 1–13 week contracts)

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in neuro/neurosurgical and trauma critical care
• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Care coordination and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with the nursing process and critical care protocols
• Excellent communication, documentation, and time management skills
