Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate occupational therapy assistance under the supervision of an OTR to help patients regain independence
• Implement individualized treatment plans and document patient progress accurately
• Deliver therapeutic activities and adaptive techniques to improve daily living skills
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate exceptional patient care
• Educate patients and families on home programs and adaptive strategies for safer living
• Maintain timely, compliant clinical documentation and participate in care planning meetings

Qualifications

• Current COTA credential in good standing
• Montana licensure or eligibility to obtain Montana OTA licensure prior to start
• Basic life support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Professional, patient-centered communication skills and ability to work on a team
• Background check and required immunizations as per client policy
• Prior experience in rehabilitation or similar clinical settings is preferred

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program (Associate degree or equivalent)

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of therapeutic techniques for ADLs and functional mobility
• Skilled in documentation, treatment planning and measuring patient outcomes
• Strong interpersonal and patient education skills
• Ability to adapt interventions for a variety of diagnoses and age groups
• Familiarity with adaptive equipment and home safety recommendations
• Comfort working within an interdisciplinary team and following established protocols
