Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts (night schedule; exact start/end times and specific days not specified). Must be able to float to MCU/PSU/APU as needed.

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients and apply the nursing process within the Oregon RN scope of practice to deliver safe, individualized care
- Develop and implement patient care plans and update them based on changing clinical status
- Teach patients and their significant others about diagnoses, care plans, medications and follow-up to promote recovery and self-care
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the medical record to ensure continuity and quality
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate timely, effective care and smooth transitions
- Provide telemetry monitoring and respond proactively to changes in cardiac or medical status
- Float to MCU/PSU/APU as needed to meet patient care demands and maintain unit coverage
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN); willing to obtain an Oregon RN license if not currently active
- Minimum 24 months of recent Intermediate/Progressive Care Unit (PCU/IMCU) experience (required)
- Acute care hospital experience (required)
- ACLS (AHA) — required (may be submitted as willing to obtain at time of submission)
- BLS (AHA) — required (may be submitted as willing to obtain at time of submission)
- Comfort and experience with telemetry, stepdown care, and floating between MCU/PSU/APU
Education
- Registered Nurse (RN) — nursing diploma, ADN or BSN required (must meet Oregon Board of Nursing requirements)
Knowledge & Skills
- Progressive care / telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making
- Clear, timely patient documentation and charting
- Patient and family education with an emphasis on safety and discharge planning
- Interdisciplinary collaboration and effective communication
- Ability to manage multiple patients in an acute care setting
