Shift Type: Open Per Diem, variable shifts including days, nights, and weekends (schedule set by facility based on needs)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
- Assess, monitor, and document patient status including hemodynamics and ventilator settings
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and perform EKG/ECG-related tasks as required
- Administer medications and IV therapies safely, following hospital protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to implement patient care plans
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Participate in infection control practices and required health screenings
Qualifications
- Active RN license (license verification required)
- ICU nursing experience (clinical comfort with critical care preferred)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Completion of the VHC EKG Exam as part of credentialing
- Current health compliance: COVID-19 vaccine, TB screening, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, Varicella, Tdap, fit test, and drug screen
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment skills for rapid recognition of clinical change in critically ill patients
- EKG/ECG interpretation and comfort with cardiac monitoring
- Familiarity with ventilator management and advanced life support
- Medication administration in critical care settings, including drips and titration
- Excellent communication and teamwork in high-acuity environments
- Accurate electronic charting and documentation practices
