Shift Type: Rotating schedule (includes every other weekend), 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, 12-hour day/evening shift
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care for a diverse patient population, including trauma, stroke, DKA and sepsis
- Perform rapid assessments, triage, and implement protocol-based initial care to stabilize patients
- Start and manage IV/IO access, including ultrasound-guided IV insertion when needed
- Interpret EKGs and participate in ACLS/PALS interventions as required
- Administer and titrate medications using Alaris pumps and secure medications with Pyxis
- Accurately document care and patient status in Sunrise/Allscripts EMR
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, department coordinators, and specialty services for seamless patient transitions
- Educate patients and families on care plans and follow-up, emphasizing safety and recovery
Qualifications
- Active RN license (state or compact) — ready to practice in New Hampshire
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required for contract roles
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (required for contract labor)
- Strong assessment, critical thinking and communication skills to handle high-acuity situations
- Experience with EKG interpretation, U/S IV insertion, IO insertion, and trauma care preferred
- Dependable, punctual, adaptable team player who thrives under pressure
Education
- Active Registered Nurse licensure required
Knowledge & Skills
- Emergency nursing fundamentals and trauma care
- IV insertion (including ultrasound-guided), IO insertion
- EKG acquisition and interpretation
- Use of Alaris pumps, Pyxis medication systems, Hotline Rapid Infuser, Lucas Device
- Electronic charting with Sunrise and Allscripts
- Strong medical terminology, patient assessment, and critical thinking
- Stroke care, cardiopulmonary support, psychiatric emergency care
