Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Day shift), five 8-hour shifts
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $31 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Room patients and take accurate vital signs to set the stage for excellent care
- Obtain and document patient history, current medications, and allergies in the chart
- Prepare exam and procedure rooms and assist providers with OBGYN procedures like PAP, Colposcopy, LEEP, D&C, EMB, IUD and Nexplanon insertions/removals
- Perform venipuncture and prepare specimens for lab submissions, including Quest Diagnostics workflows
- Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by providers
- Explain policies, procedures, and follow-up instructions to patients clearly and compassionately
- Support departmental QA tasks and record QC testing on designated equipment
- Participate in daily huddles and communicate patient or workflow concerns to clinical leaders
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Medical Assistant certificate/diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program OR national MA certification (AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI)
- BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- Flu vaccination is required (no exemptions/no declinations)
- Minimum 2 years working as an MA in an outpatient clinic (1 year required; 2+ years preferred in OBGYN)
- At least 1 year of OBGYN clinical experience
- Proficiency with venipuncture/blood draws and specimen collection
- Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans
- Familiarity with Epic or CS-Link charting systems preferred
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program OR national MA certification (AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven ability to room patients and take reliable vital signs
- Skilled in PAP, Colposcopy, LEEP, D&C, Endometrial Biopsy (EMB), IUD and Nexplanon procedures
- Competent with NST monitoring
- Venipuncture and phlebotomy expertise, including lab labeling and submissions
- Experience with Epic and/or CS-Link charting systems
- Comfortable administering immunizations and injections
- Strong medical terminology knowledge and telephone triage skills
- Familiarity with Quest Diagnostics processes and outpatient clinic workflows
