Shift Type: Day shift, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (12-hour day shifts), rotating schedule with every-other-weekend (EOW) coverage; call required; holiday coverage 2 of 3 major holidays
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate post-anesthesia and pre-op care for PACU and recovery patients
- Assess and monitor patients using Philips telemetry and other unit tools
- Collaborate with anesthesia, respiratory therapy (RT 24/7), pharmacy, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe patient recovery
- Perform timely, accurate documentation in Cerner to support continuity of care
- Respond to and manage ICU-level patient recoveries in the PACU setting when needed
- Participate in the unit’s weekend/holiday and call rotations to ensure consistent patient coverage
- Support GI lab procedures and provide peri-procedural patient care with clinical excellence
Qualifications
- Active RN license (able to submit) — must meet hospital licensure requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience (acute care/PACU preferred)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- COVID-19 vaccination required (per facility policy)
- Experience with Cerner electronic medical record strongly preferred
- Comfort managing post-anesthesia patients and ICU patient recoveries in PACU
- Ability to work scheduled weekends (EOW), holidays as required, and participate in call rotation
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma acceptable (BSN not required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of post-anesthesia care and perioperative nursing principles
- Experience with Philips telemetry monitoring
- Proficiency in Cerner charting and electronic documentation
- Skilled in acute care assessment, hemodynamic monitoring, and airway management basics
- Ability to prioritize, triage, and communicate effectively across teams
- Familiarity with GI lab workflows and PACU/Pre-op processes
