Shift Type: Days vary per facility schedule, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening/2nd shift)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents, supporting dignity and independence
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the nursing team
- Efficiently document care, observations, and meal/medication assistance in resident records
- Support safe mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Create a welcoming environment by building rapport with residents and their families
- Maintain infection control standards and keep resident areas clean and orderly
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (required)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Experience working with older adults or in long-term care is a plus
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with interdisciplinary teams
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to resident-centered care
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved GNA/GNA program or equivalent training
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and elder-friendly communication
- Basic patient care skills: ADLs, feeding assistance, toileting, and mobility support
- Familiarity with infection prevention and universal precautions
- Accurate documentation and time-management abilities
- Compassionate bedside manner and ability to de-escalate stressful situations
- Teamwork mindset and willingness to follow care plans
