Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up the EP/Cath lab with the necessary supplies and equipment for procedures
- Perform hemodynamic monitoring and control-room duties during invasive cardiac procedures
- Maintain strict sterile technique and uphold radiation safety practices to protect patients and staff
- Complete accurate catheterization and procedure documentation and report findings to physicians
- Perform and monitor patient stress tests and correlate invasive and noninvasive test data
- Transport and assess patients as needed, ensuring safety and continuity of care
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to identify needs for additional intervention
- Support department operations and perform other duties as needed to meet patient and organizational needs
Qualifications
- RCES or RCIS certification (RCES/RCIS accepted) — required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) — required (obtain within 90 days if not current)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) — required (obtain within 90 days if not current)
- North Dakota Medical Imaging License (ND Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board) — required (obtain within 12 months of start)
- Cardiovascular Technologist - Registered (CCI) preferred/expected to be obtained within 24 months
- Minimum 2+ years of EP/Cath lab or relevant cardiovascular invasive procedure experience
- Ability to meet requirements for conditional licensing by the North Dakota Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board
Education
- Preferred: Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist program or equivalent training
