Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and stabilize patients in a fast-paced emergency department
• Lead and participate in resuscitations and trauma assists using established protocols
• Administer medications and advanced interventions safely and accurately
• Perform and interpret EKGs and monitor cardiac patients closely
• Provide behavioral health de-escalation and compassionate care for psychiatric patients
• Manage lines and rapid infuser devices during critical situations
• Document patient care accurately in MEDITECH and communicate effectively with the care team
• Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, and ancillary staff to deliver coordinated patient care

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (active and in good standing)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience (emergency department experience preferred)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS
• Comfort with trauma care and emergency procedures (central lines, airway support, rapid infuser) preferred
• Experience with MEDITECH is a plus
• CPI training and holding/inpatient experience are preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency nursing and trauma care skills
• Proficient with MEDITECH electronic medical record workflows
• Ability to multitask in a high-acuity environment
• Skilled in patient assessment, EKG interpretation, and rapid decision making
• Familiarity with Alaris pumps, Belmont/Level 1 rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and de-escalation skills
