Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert respiratory care for adult critical care and LDRP patients with compassion and precision
• Manage ventilators and advanced airway therapies, including intubation when needed
• Perform arterial line insertion and monitoring to support critical interventions
• Lead neonatal resuscitation efforts as needed and follow NRP protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust patient care plans
• Document patient assessments and treatments accurately in Meditech
• Coach and mentor colleagues on advanced respiratory procedures and best practices
• Respond rapidly to emergencies and code situations while maintaining calm and clinical focus

Qualifications

• RRT credential required
• Current NRP, ACLS and PALS certifications (NRP is a must-have)
• Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience, with adult critical care experience preferred
• Advanced skills in intubation and arterial line insertion required
• Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist and ability to meet travel assignment credentialing
• Comfortable using Meditech or similar documentation systems

Education

• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (Associate's or Bachelor's) and RRT credential

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of adult critical care respiratory protocols and ventilator management
• Skilled in airway management, intubation techniques and arterial line procedures
• Familiarity with neonatal resuscitation (NRP) and pediatric/advanced life support (PALS, ACLS)
• Able to operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and monitors
• Excellent clinical judgment, critical thinking and clear communication skills
• Team-oriented with experience working in fast-paced hospital settings
