Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality med/surg nursing care to adult patients with compassion and clinical excellence
• Assess, monitor and document patient status, recognizing changes and escalating concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with policies and best practices
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
• Use Meditech EMR proficiently to chart care, handoffs, and communicate with the care team
• Operate and interpret telemetry and remote monitoring equipment to support patient safety
• Support surgical and medical post-op care (e.g., cholecystectomy, appendectomy) and participate in discharge planning
• Deliver outstanding customer service to patients and families, educating and supporting them through recovery

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential (state licensure required)
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience (Med/Surgical experience is required)
• Telemetry experience and comfort with remote tele monitoring
• Experience with Meditech EMR is preferred
• Excellent customer service, strong communication, and ability to work independently
• NRP and Mom/Baby experience are nice-to-have for consideration
• Ability to work 12-hour clinical shifts and adapt to unit staffing needs

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN or BSN) — active RN license required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong med/surgical clinical knowledge and post-op care skills
• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical record
• Effective clinical assessment, triage, and patient prioritization
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and patient-focused communication
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team
