Roles & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to assist in individualized rehabilitation care plans
• Perform thorough head-to-toe and focused patient assessments to track progress
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products safely and according to protocol
• Monitor telemetry and interpret results to ensure timely interventions
• Complete lab draws and document findings accurately in the electronic medical record
• Provide patient and family education about the rehabilitation plan and discharge goals
• Advocate for patient safety and quality of care while supporting functional recovery
• Chart clearly and promptly in Meditech Magic to maintain continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice (Kansas) required
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• IV therapy and IV medication administration experience
• Experience or comfort with blood administration
• Telemetry monitoring experience and ability to read telemetry
• CRRN certification preferred but not required
• ACLS preferred or ability to obtain within specified timeframe
• Prior experience with Meditech Magic or similar EMR preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong rehabilitation nursing skills and familiarity with rehab care plans
• Proven ability to perform patient assessment and documentation
• Competence in IV therapy, IV meds, and blood administration
• Telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring knowledge
• Comfortable using Meditech Magic electronic medical record
• Good communication, patient education, and advocacy abilities
• Understanding of Quality Indicator scoring in post-acute settings is a plus
