Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care and monitor cardiac rhythms with confidence
• Assess and manage patients using PCA and IV pumps while ensuring safe medication administration
• Interpret dysrhythmias and act promptly in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Meditech Expanse
• Champion patient experience through bedside care conferences and regular safety rounding
• Maintain clear communication with physicians, families, and unit staff to coordinate safe discharges and transitions
• Support unit staffing and contribute to a positive, team-focused work environment

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (as indicated in the posting)
• At least 1 year of acute care experience (explicitly requested)
• Strong dysrhythmia interpretation skills (must have)
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts and covering every other weekend
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and managing PCA/IV pumps
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse documentation system

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Dysrhythmia recognition and acute response
• Meditech Expanse electronic documentation
• Safe use and troubleshooting of PCA and IV infusion pumps
• Med-surg clinical assessment and prioritization (6:1 patient ratio experience helpful)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills
