Shift Type: Primarily Day Shift, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (12-hour day shifts); rotating schedule that includes every-other-weekend or equivalent as needed; may float occasionally to Med Surg, ICU (for border patients) and Emergency Department holds

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled, compassionate PCU nursing care for adult patients — monitor cardiac rhythms and intervene quickly when needed
- Administer critical drips and manage IV pump therapies safely and accurately
- Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and recognize dysrhythmias with confidence
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
- Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery expectations and discharge plans
- Document care thoroughly in the Expanse EMR and maintain high standards of charting accuracy
- Float to assigned areas (Med Surg, ICU, ED) as needed to support unit staffing and patient flow
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse licensure (state licensure or compact status as required)
- Minimum 2 years PCU experience (explicit requirement)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
- NIAH certification (listed as required)
- Strong dysrhythmia recognition and prior critical drip experience (must-haves)
- Experience with cardiac monitoring systems and Hospira IV pumps preferred
- Comfortable with floating to Med Surg, ICU and ED as needed
Education
- Nursing degree (ADN or BSN preferred) — active RN license required
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in dysrhythmia recognition and cardiac telemetry
- Hands-on experience managing critical drips and titrating infusions
- Familiarity with GE cardiac monitoring systems
- Comfortable using Hospira IV pumps and managing infusion devices
- Proficient in Expanse EMR documentation and workflows
- Pre-post cardiac cath and pacer patient care experience (preferred)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to stay composed under pressure
