Shift Type: Per diem pool, variable shifts (days, evenings, nights); schedule determined by PD pool

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
- Perform thorough assessments and maintain accurate, timely documentation
- Administer medications and treatments safely according to facility policies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and follow individualized care plans
- Monitor resident status and promptly escalate changes in condition
- Support residents and families with respectful communication and education
- Participate in competency testing and ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Comfortable working in a long-term care or per diem pool environment
- Ability to pass required health screenings and drug tests (fit test, TB testing, immunizations, Trinity 10-panel drug screen)
- Reliable, professional, and patient-centered approach to resident care
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills tailored to LTC residents
- Medication administration and documentation proficiency
- Familiarity with long-term care workflows and regulatory expectations
- Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and care teams
- Ability to adapt quickly to different facilities and shift needs
- Comfort with electronic medical records and accurate charting
