Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
• Perform thorough assessments and maintain accurate, timely documentation
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to facility policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and follow individualized care plans
• Monitor resident status and promptly escalate changes in condition
• Support residents and families with respectful communication and education
• Participate in competency testing and ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Comfortable working in a long-term care or per diem pool environment
• Ability to pass required health screenings and drug tests (fit test, TB testing, immunizations, Trinity 10-panel drug screen)
• Reliable, professional, and patient-centered approach to resident care

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills tailored to LTC residents
• Medication administration and documentation proficiency
• Familiarity with long-term care workflows and regulatory expectations
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and care teams
• Ability to adapt quickly to different facilities and shift needs
• Comfort with electronic medical records and accurate charting
