Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in a long-term care setting
• Perform thorough assessments and document care accurately and timely
• Administer medications and treatments according to orders and facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident care plans
• Monitor changes in residents’ conditions and communicate concerns to providers
• Demonstrate infection prevention practices and maintain a safe care environment
• Complete Trinity specialty competency testing and required clinical competencies

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing — ability to verify licensure required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Experience or interest in long-term care or skilled nursing environments
• Ability to pass Trinity 10-panel drug screen and required health screenings
• Up-to-date immunizations per facility policy (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, influenza, COVID-19 as required)
• Fit test and respirator evaluation completion as needed
• Strong communication, documentation, and resident advocacy skills

Education

• Active RN license required (ADN/ASN/BSN acceptable); BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in resident assessment and care planning in long-term care
• Medication administration and accurate charting
• Infection control, isolation precautions, and PPE use
• Ability to work independently on per diem shifts and collaborate with a care team
• Comfort with facility-specific competency testing and protocol adherence
• Basic emergency response and BLS application
