Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in a long-term care setting
- Perform thorough assessments and document care accurately and timely
- Administer medications and treatments according to orders and facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident care plans
- Monitor changes in residents’ conditions and communicate concerns to providers
- Demonstrate infection prevention practices and maintain a safe care environment
- Complete Trinity specialty competency testing and required clinical competencies
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing — ability to verify licensure required
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Experience or interest in long-term care or skilled nursing environments
- Ability to pass Trinity 10-panel drug screen and required health screenings
- Up-to-date immunizations per facility policy (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, influenza, COVID-19 as required)
- Fit test and respirator evaluation completion as needed
- Strong communication, documentation, and resident advocacy skills
Education
- Active RN license required (ADN/ASN/BSN acceptable); BSN preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in resident assessment and care planning in long-term care
- Medication administration and accurate charting
- Infection control, isolation precautions, and PPE use
- Ability to work independently on per diem shifts and collaborate with a care team
- Comfort with facility-specific competency testing and protocol adherence
- Basic emergency response and BLS application
